Reinventing hydraulics: more control, more efficiency, more future.
Hydronit CEO
External hydraulic valves for modular and flexible system design
Hydronit external valves are designed to expand the functionality of hydraulic power units with reliable, compact and application-oriented solutions. The range includes conventional NG6 directional valves, modular sandwich valves, stackable valves and cartridge valves mounted in external blocks, so designers and OEMs can configure the hydraulic circuit with greater flexibility and control.
Developed to integrate easily with Hydronit manifolds and modular power pack architecture, these solutions help optimize dimensions, reduce weight and simplify installation, while maintaining the performance required in industrial, mobile and special applications. Depending on the circuit layout and machine requirements, it is possible to choose the most suitable valve technology in terms of compactness, compatibility and functional integration.
NG6 (Cetop 3) directional valves
The traditional choice for hydraulic systems requiring wide market compatibility and easy serviceability worldwide. NG6 directional valves are a reliable solution for many standard applications and are particularly suitable where a conventional valve layout is preferred. Each valve requires a dedicated base modular manifold.
NG6 modular sandwich valves
Hydronit offers NG6 sandwich valves for flow control, pressure control and overcentre functions. These solutions allow additional hydraulic functions to be added in a compact modular stack, simplifying circuit design and improving integration on the power unit. An important advantage is the use of the same cartridge logic already adopted in the central manifold range.
Stackable directional valves
Stackable valves are the advanced alternative to conventional spool valves when the objective is to reduce overall dimensions and weight. The A and B threaded ports are directly machined into the valve body, while additional cavities can be used to increase circuit flexibility. This architecture is especially useful where space is limited and multiple valve functions must be combined in a compact assembly.
Cartridge valves in external blocks
For applications where low weight, essential design and cost efficiency are priorities, cartridge valves integrated into external blocks represent a practical and effective solution. They allow the hydraulic system to remain compact while ensuring dependable control and easy integration with the Hydronit modular concept.
Designed for performance, flexibility and compactness
Hydronit external valves are engineered to support different circuit architectures, from conventional NG6 layouts to more advanced stackable solutions. Compared with traditional Cetop 3 assemblies, stackable and NG3 MICRO-related solutions offer important benefits in terms of reduced size, lower weight and lower cost, making them particularly attractive for compact hydraulic power packs and machines with limited installation space. The catalog also highlights that a stack of seven stackable valves can be significantly more compact than an equivalent NG6 solution.
At the same time, NG6 valves remain the preferred solution when the hydraulic circuit requires additional functions such as pilot operated check valves, pressure controls or flow controls combined in a more traditional modular configuration. This makes the range highly versatile, allowing machine designers to choose between maximum compactness and maximum circuit modularity depending on the application.
Why choose Hydronit external valves

External valves are developed to work consistently with Hydronit manifolds, modular blocks and power pack architecture.
Suitable for a wide range of hydraulic applications
Hydronit external valves can be used in many sectors where hydraulic control must be precise, compact and reliable. They are suitable for industrial machinery, mobile equipment, lifting systems and applications where multiple hydraulic functions must be managed within limited space. Their modular approach also makes them a valuable option for OEMs looking for scalable and configurable hydraulic solutions.
FAQ
NG3 MICRO valves SD00* series use the M100 series of coils, 12 or 24 VDC. Stackable valves SD01* series use DC or RC M120 coils. SD02* bankable vales share the same M630/M631 coils series of the integral solenoid valves. NG6 (Cetop 3) valves SD03* series use M160 series of coils either DC or RC (rectified current). When choosing a RC coil, a rectifying bridge connector must be chosen (KA132R***), except for M631 coils series which have an integral rectifying bridge. See coils table at the end of section G.
Yes. Whenever quantities justify the investment in design and manufacturing. Ask our sales department first.
Lower weight, smaller dimensions, lower cost. Each stackable valve height of just 31mm allows you build a stack of, for example, 7 valves in 217mm. A similar stack made with cetop 3 valves would be nearly double the height. NG6 (Cetop 3) directional valves are to be preferred when other valves (pilot operated check valves, flow controls, pressure controls,…) are added to the hydraulic circuit.
